List of vectors

Lentiviral vectors

We use two different systems for generating self-inactivating lentiviral vectors that are recombinant deficient.

The first is Naldini's three-plasmid system (for integration-proficient vectors) consisting of a transfer plasmid plus pMD2.G (VSV-G) and psPAX2 (an improved version of pCMV-dR8.2 dvpr).

The second is Yanez-Munoz's four-plasmid system (for integration-deficient or -proficient vectors).

KCL researchers can use one of our stock transfer plasmids or can clone their own transgene into one of several different transfer plasmids. The four-plasmid system is only available via collaboration with Dr. Yanez-Munoz. Please contact him in the first instance.

Adeno-associated viral vectors

We use the Stratagene three-plasmid system for generating AAVs, consisting of a transfer plasmid plus pHelper and pRC.

KCL researchers can use one of our stock transfer plasmids (e.g., pCMV-EGFP) or can clone their own transgene into one of several different AAV transfer plasmids (e.g., pCMV-MCS; pAAV-MCS; pAAV-lacZ).

A range of other AAV and lentiviral plasmids are also available from Addgene.
